It’s summertime in Seattle!

It’s summertime! We have beautiful weather right now in Seattle. Not too hot like most of the country. Very pleasant. You’ll enjoy a starlit sky at night in the hot tub. There is a warm breeze with plenty of sunshine. And the sunsets…they are spectacular! Living here our whole life we are still in awe at what we see. We feel so fortunate to be able to wake and end our day with this truly breathtaking view. Summer is here and the air is warm and breezy. The flowers are in full bloom. It’s a beautiful time of year with lots of fun activities and events going on in Seattle and Olde Town Burien. Our guests have been hiking Sunrise and Paradise on Mount Rainier and they were in awe at the absolute beauty they are seeing. This is a great hike that you must do if you come in the summer and fall. You’ll find so much to do in our beautiful city. Or you can just lounge around at the cottage all day and relax on the deck with your favorite book. The possibilities are endless. Life is short. You deserve an escape away from it all and at Olympic View Dave and I will make sure you get that.

Stroll the beach this weekend during low tide and you’ll be amazed at what you can find. The weather is warm, sunny and comfortable. Enjoy a walk into Olde Burien where you will find unique shops and restaurants and all the specials they have to offer. One of our favorite places to visit in Seattle is the Ballard Locks. Here you can watch the salmon climbing the fish ladder making their way from the Puget Sound salt water into the fresh waters of Lake Washington to go up the river and spawn. You can also watch the commercial boats and pleasure boats making their way through the locks. It’s a spectacular site and it’s all free! Even the parking. We have our favorites and would be happy to share them with you anytime.
